Cake Inspirations will endeavour to do everything we can to accommodate your order, however we work to a maximum number of cakes per week and will not compromise quality through quantity.
We usually require at least 3 months notice for wedding cakes and at least 2 weeks for celebration cakes is sufficient, however to avoid disappointment please order as early as possible to secure your date. Should you need a cake at short notice please contact us as it may be possible to accept your order depending on how many bookings we have.
*Please Note: 3 months notice is required for our deliciously rich fruit cakes to ensure they mature to their best.
Customer Satisfactions Guarantee
Should you be unhappy with the cake we will do everything we can to rectify the matter before the event. If you are still unsatisfied then we will refund the price of cake in return for the product.
Price / Checking your order
The price for the order is as stated on your order form/ email/ electronic message confirmation. You agree to pay the full price to Cake Inspirations in accordance with the order form/ email confirmation after the details are checked and agreed by you.
While we take every measure possible to check orders, however, it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the details on the order form/ text/email are accurate. Whilst we will do everything we can to rectify the situation if an error is made, the responsibility lies with the customer to check the details.
Payment Payments must be paid in full by bank transfer at the time of booking, which is non-transferable and non-refundable. Your order will be confirmed on receipt of payment. No guarantees can be given on availability until payment has been paid.
Where the cake has been paid in full and we have been given 14 days notice of cancellation the balance less any costs costs already incurred will be refunded at our disgression.
In the event that any payment is subsequently declined or not paid, the order will not be completed or released until payment has been made in full. Subsequent completion of the order will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Cake Inspirations accepts no responsibility for any loss caused or for non-delivery under these circumstances.
Alterations to orders
Your cake is very important to us. Please take the time to check the details of your order carefully and let us know within three days if changes are needed. It is your responsibility to advise us of any alterations to the original order. Whilst we will do everything we can to assist any change to your order we reserve the right to increase a quoted fee in the event that the customer requests a variation to the work agreed. Whilst every effort will be made to assist customers, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed.
You are welcome to collect your cake in person. As you will appreciate once the cake leaves our premise then we cannot be liable for any damage in transit. Please be aware that a flat surface is required to retain the stability of the cake and should be secured where possible to remove the risk of movement in transit. If you are unsure please ask for advice before leaving our premise.
Having your cake hand delivered gives Cake Inspirations the responsibility for ensuring that your cake arrives in a perfect state and on time. Where any damage does occur then it is our responsibility to ensure if we can't rectify the problem that a replacement is received within the time scales given. If this is not possible, for whatever reason, then a full refund will be given.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that you have given us the correct delivery information, and that someone is available to receive your cake.
If the recipients are not in, the order will be returned to us and we will attempt to contact you to arrange an alternative delivery time for which an additional charge will be payable by the customer. Cake Inspirations accepts no responsibility for any loss or consequential loss incurred by the Customer as a result, e.g. a wedding without a wedding cake.
Setting up Wedding Cakes
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have provided us with the set-up details and arrangements made with the venue for the location and display of your cake. Cake Inspirations cannot be held responsible for the location of the cake at the venue. Please ensure, therefore, that the display location is level, stable and strong enough to hold the cake. The cake should not be displayed in direct sunlight or next to any type of heat source.
Once the cake has been collected or delivered, set up and signed for, Cake Inspirations is unable to accept liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter.
If the cake is to be set up by us a signature will be required from your venue management confirming the cake has been received and set up in good condition. A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to departure by us to verify that the cake has been set up and left in good condition.
Best before Dates
When preparing some cakes, especially larger ones, the cakes need to be in prep for two sometimes three days before the event. While we do everything to ensure that the cake is as fresh as possible for the event the best before dates are usually within two days of the event. (Rich Fruit Cake excluded)
To assist in prolonging the shelf life of sponge cakes after the event they are best placed in a cool, dry place. We do not accept liability for consumption from two days following the event.
During the design process the customer will be informed of any non-edible decoration that will be used to construct the cake, it is the customers responsibility to relay this information to the venue/ hosts.
Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with ingredients containing specific allergens, it is prepared in a kitchen where other allergens may be present. A full list of ingredients and allergens for each product is available upon request. Please also note raw materials used may have been produced in a factory where other allergens are present.
